At Coláiste Chilliain, we strive to promote leadership amongst our students. Fourth and Fifth year students are given the opportunity to submit applications for the role of Cinnire. They are interviewed to assess their leadership abilities, work approach, promotion of the Irish language and communication skills. Students are then awarded different roles, depending on the skills they display for example; Irish language Cinnire, Sports Cinnire and Lockers Cinnire. The Cinnirí help with school activities and work with teachers on school events such as Year 6 Awards, Seachtain na Gaeilge and sporting events. This student leadership model ingrains and ensures our school’s motto: Ár nDúchas Slán.
