We are extremely proud of Aoife Ní Churnáin (Bliain 4) who was selected last night to play for Ireland’s U16s Women’s National Basketball Team. Aoife  will travel to Greece in August to represent her country and we wish her the very best of luck.

Míle buíochas to the four students who proudly represented Coláiste Chilliain at the official launch of the Clondalkin Prevention Lab today in the Green Isle Hotel.

The Prevention Programme has been running in Coláiste Chilliain for the past two years and continues to go from strength to strength. The programme includes two focus groups: a First Year group, represented today by Daisy Nic Réamoinn and Liana Ní Mhoráin Marsella, and a TY group, represented by Lexie Oglesby and Teagan de Cuirtéis.

Their participation, enthusiasm, and commitment were a credit to the school.

A sincere thank you to the two facilitators from Crosscare, Joanne Ward and Sonya Connolly, who have worked closely with the groups in the school over the past two years. Their dedication, guidance, and continued support have played an invaluable role in the growth and success of the programme within Coláiste Chilliain.

A sincere thank you to all of the students who have participated in the programme to date. Their engagement, openness, and commitment have contributed greatly to the continued success and development of the initiative within Coláiste Chilliain.

A final thanks to Cathy Martin the Prevention Officer from the Clondalkin Drug & Alcohol Task Force CLG who has been the driving force behind the project also.

Táimid ag tnúth leis an cleachtadh an Luan seo chugainn, 4ú Bealtaine, 10.00 -14.00 (de réir an sceidil a foilsíodh níos luaithe sa bhliain).

Tá tinreamh iomlán ríthábhachtach le cleachta rathúil a bheith againn agus iarraimid ar gach dalta a bheith i láthair agus in am.

Mura féidir le dalta freastal ar an gcleachtadh, cuir an scoil ar an eolas a luaithe is gur féidir le bhur dtoil.

Rehearsal:

Our TY students are working very hard on Oíche ar an Árdán and we could not be prouder of them. 

We look forward to seeing them all at the rehearsal this Monday, 4th May 10.00 -14.00 (as per schedule that was published earlier in the year).

Full attendance is imperative to ensure a successful rehearsal, and we ask that students please be on time.

If a student cannot attend rehearsal, please inform the school as soon as possible.

Críoch thar a bheith drámatúil a bhí ann: bhí an scór 1-1 ag deireadh an ghnáthama, agus sa deireadh bhuaigh siad 7-6 ar chiceanna pionóis.

Huge congratulations to Múinteoir Ben and his U17 soccer team. They achieved a fantastic victory against Malahide and Portmarnock ETSS.

It was an extremely dramatic finish: the score was 1–1 at full time, and they eventually won 7–6 on penalties.

 On they go now to the final. Maith sibh go léir!

The athletics team were out yesterday running on behalf of the school. Congratulations to Tighe in 1st year who was 2nd in the minor 800m race and to Aoife in 5th Year who was 3rd in the 300m Hurdles. We are very proud of all the athletes and the effort they made!  

A 8 point win for the under 16 Gaelic Football team against Firhouse yesterday. Every player done their very best, with a special mention to captain Dylan McCarthy and full forward Larry Hickey. Jack Slatery was man of the match today, who took full control over midfield.

Bhain siad an chéad áit amach i gcomhpháirt le Coláiste Phobail Bhaile Adaim— éacht iontach ar fad. Maith sibh go léir a bhí páirteach! 

Congratulations to the Coláiste Chilliain students who participated in the inaugural DDLETB Inter-School Tráth na gCeist today. They achieved joint first place with Adamstown Community College—well done to all involved.

Huge congratulations to the Under 17 boys’ soccer team and Múinteoir Ben on their fantastic victory in the Leinster Final today, winning 3-0 against St Tiernans. An unbelievable performance and we are so proud of you all. They have now qualified for the Champions League – an outstanding achievement!

Ba mhaith linn comhghairdeas ó chroí  a dhéanamh lena dheirfiúr, Grace, chomh maith, as a héacht iontach maidir le cáiliú don Chraobhchomórtas Domhanda agus páirt a ghlacadh ann.

Maith sibh beirt, Finn agus Grace—táimid fíorbhródúil as bhur n-éachtaí agus bhur ndíograis.

We are delighted to congratulate Finn Ó  Raghallaigh (Bliain 5)  on his outstanding achievement at the World Irish Dancing Championships, which were held over the Easter break  in Chicago. Competing at such a high level, Finn managed to  secure an impressive 6th place in the Under 18 Men’s competition—a remarkable accomplishment on the world stage.

We would also like to warmly congratulate his sister, Grace, on her fantastic achievement in qualifying for and participating in the World Championships.

Well done to both Finn and Grace—we are incredibly proud of your achievements and commitment.
